Explore theCompuServe Chat Community!Meet fellow believers for live online discussion of the Bible in our chatrooms.

"There is no higher activity in which the mind can be engaged than the pursuit of a knowledge of God."
J. Dwight Pentecost

The purpose of this forum is to pursue the knowledge of God through mutual exploration of the scriptures. Such an endeavor presupposes the existence of God and that God has revealed himself to us through his word, the Bible.

While nobody will be prohibited from participating here based on his or her beliefs, it should be noted that those who do not share the above two presuppositions will be somewhat out of sync with our discussions.

Because this forum is intended to be a venue for mature discussion of an intellectual nature, we require that as a condition of participating, members use their real names and treat one another with respect. The use of profanity, vulgarity, or ad hominum attacks will be grounds for the forum management to restrict access to "read only" status.

The issues of Christian Doctrine have profound implications concerning the way we live and participate in the world economy. It is important that anyone who names the name of Christ constantly pursue an increase in their knowledge of God. Some have devoted their whole lives to this study, while others have pursued other vocations. It is intended that this forum will provide the opportunity for those who have had less exposure to biblical study and research to have an opportunity to benefit from those who have had more.

It is in this spirit that I invite the "babes" in Christ to join together here with those advanced in the faith to travel this path together.

In the faith,

Bruce Patterson
